I have been using this product line since my oldest was born (he is now 6). So, when I was sent the Johnson’s new JOHNSON’S® NATURAL® product line to review and keep, I thought why not try the 'new and improved' version, and since I have not tried the Shampoo or the Lotion in the past, this would be the test on my boys eczema proned skin. In my package I received the JOHNSON’S® HEAD‐TO‐TOE® Foaming Baby Wash, Baby Shampoo and Baby Lotion to try on my kids.
As always, the smell of the JOHNSON’S® NATURAL® line is soft, and clean. A touch of fragrance that is not overbearing for tiny bodies. I have not personally noticed a huge difference except that this improved version is 98% natural --and that is enough for me. It's funny because I have tried so many body-washes and shampoos and most of them have caused my little munchkins skin to flare up...all except JOHNSON’S® NATURAL®.
I am also pleased to report that the Baby lotion is equally refreshing, without irritating his sensitive skin. This is a HUGE bonus for me because the JOHNSON’S® NATURAL® line is affordably priced too! I have spent so much money and time investing in lotions, shampoos and creams over the years, it is nice to know that I can run to my local department store or pharmacy and buy the JOHNSON’S® NATURAL® Baby line for a fraction of the price!
6 years later...and I fully trust these products on my children.
The JOHNSON'S® NATURAL® product line is the only line of baby skin products that is at least 98% natural with over 100 years of baby care expertise. And of course, every JOHNSON'S® NATURAL® cleanser contains their gentle NO MORE TEARS® formula.
Time passes so quickly when you are a new parent, all the sleepless nights, the midnight feedings and the screeching sound of a baby crying can all be overwhelming. BUT then there are those tiny first giggles and that gummy smile that makes it all worthwhile, makes being a parent the best job in the world.
Of course to me, my boys had the most insanely cutest smiles ever--I'm sure you can agree that yours did/does as well. I just love the way their little faces would light up with I tickled them or sang their favourite songs, moments I wish I could bottle up forever. Luckily, today we have cameras to capture them all and keep close to our hearts when they are 15 and asking to stay out past curfew...
In the meantime...look at these smiles and try not to crack a smirk yourself.

With 2 children, a husband, a dog, a fish and a very active lifestyle, I find it is often hard to cook nutritious meals while on the go. Usually, I cook up a storm every other day to avoid using frozen varieties and often times spend ALL day in the kitchen!
Mamas does this sound familiar?
When Cavendish From the Farm™ Potatoes, presented me with the opportunity to taste their frozen varieties I was skeptical at first. Cavendish from the Farm is made with Premium PEI potatoes and prepared with 100% canola oil, seasoned with a touch of sea salt. So I thought, it can't hurt to try can it?
The great news is that my local Metro Grocery store carried them too!!
In our house, the most enjoyable part of cooking is when we can get the kids involved, and Cavendish makes it easier to allow the kids to join in. My youngest, loved arranging the Cavendish From the Farm™ Potato Wedges.
on a baking sheet and sprinkling them with sea salt.
Since it was a Friday evening, we opted for something fast, fun and kid friendly. Our dish included BBQ wings, Salad, and beets. The recipe for the Cavendish from the Farm Wedges is as follows:
Secret is in the sauce -Homemade Hot Sauce
- Bake Wedges on a baking sheet for about 15 minutes, turning once and sprinkled with a small amount of sea-salt
- Remove from oven
- Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and hot sauce (Recipe below)
- Bake 5 more minutes or until cheese melts
- Aprox 1lb Fresno Chilies
- 10 tbs Vinegar (distilled)
- 2 Tbs water
- Salt to taste
- Trim chilies and roast in broiler with a little olive oil
- Puree, adding some Vinegar for consistency
- Strain through a sleeve (this takes some work)
- Using the strained liquid, add the water, salt and vinegar
Cavendish from the Farm Wedges tasted almost exactly like my own potatoes, this recipe was a hit with the whole family!

My mom always said 'You will know when you become a mother'.....boy was she right!
Before I became a mother I was rational, secure and positive about the things in my life. I was ready to let go and willing to try just about anything. Then he came into my life. From the moment I found out I was pregnant, my whole world flipped upside down. That instinct to become so insanely infatuated with this new life and willing to go to all stops just to protect, nurture and consume every second with him became a reality.
How funny, all the things you imagined you would be like, would do, as a mother...all changes...the second you become one. This doesn't change the second time around either, that emotional instinct just takes over, and continues to take over again and again.
I am now overbearing, protective, and intimidated...some may say a little 'too much'!! That's just what a mother becomes I guess, someone she thought she wasn't, but truly is because of LOVE.
After-all, the future of these little human beings depends on us doesn't it?
