I started off telling you about my former experience with Adult Essentials Vitamins in my first post (read here) and my journey to better health. That was a month ago, and here I am a month later taking necessary steps to enjoying more physical activity and better eating habits. Don't get me wrong, I have not lost dramatic weight or become an overnight athlete, but I am feeling better and doing more to stay healthy and active- a big step for me.

Recently, I have made a point of getting outdoors more. I have started to do weekly visits to a local nature reserve where I do a little hiking and long walks with the kids. Surprisingly, this makes me feel so much better and more in tune with the earth around me and my own body. If you would have asked me months ago to do this, I would have laughed at you. Now, I couldn't imagine spending my Saturday anywhere else.

Look at these faces! Thankfully I am building lasting memories with them as an 'Active' mama!

With this new and improved lifestyle comes so many opportunities to teach my kids the importance of physical well-being and respect for the world around them. My sweetest indulgence now, is not a bag of chips but a few yummy vitamins in the morning and a day filled with sunshine and love! Thank you Adult Essentials!

Don't forget to look for my next update in a month! Same place! Same Yummy Vitamins ;)

Let me start off by saying that I grew up with a dog all my life (among other pets). That being said, when my husband and I got married it seemed the natural transition would be to get a dog. Along came 'Pharaoh' a black chihuahua obviously named with the intent of having him live a privileged life. I spoiled Pharaoh for the first year giving him one too many treats, making him FAT and double his intended size!

This is 'King' Pharaoh in his glory! thanks Milkbone!

When we had children, and decided we were doing more harm than good with his unhealthy habits and we started to shape up his diet a little. Pharaoh is far from his ideal weight, but even with dogs this can be a struggle--especially with a 3 year old and 5 year old constantly feeding him! We have stayed away from treats mainly because of the bi products found in most, thanks to Milkbone little Pharaoh will now get to enjoy these healthy snacks more often!

We have been using Milkbone treats and Pharaoh has loved both types! He begs for one whenever we come home from a walk or when he does something worth praising! I have to admit though, my personal preference (i am not a dog) is the chewy textured treats, I assume it is because I can break it apart easier and use pieces of the whole treat for training purposes--again I am not a dog, and Pharaoh seems to like both just the same ;)

Milkbone snacks come in 2 textures:
Oven-Baked Granola Biscuits (hard)
Beef Flavour

Chicken Flavor
