First off, I have to say....How could you NOT know Nutella isn't healthy? I mean, something with all that chocolatey-goodness can not be healthy for you, can it? Come on people!!

The Globe and Mail claims that a California class-action lawsuit that slammed the makers of Nutella for ads suggesting the spread was a healthy food was settled this week in favour of consumers. About $2.5-million (U.S.) will now be divided among folks who file a claim and join the suit, according The Consumerist

This has been news all over the internet, spread across social media and food bloggers everywhere are jumping on this case! The lawsuit is basically to forbid Ferrero from advertising Nutella as “nutritious". It also wants all profits from the sale that were unjustly acquired. --an endless, meaningless battle.

The question remains, is it the companies problem that people cannot see through the advertisements and make their own judgments when buying food for their family, or is it simply wrongful advertisement that causes society to gain weight?

What do you think?

We surfed the net for healthy alternatives to this chocolatey treat...this is what we found! ENJOY!

Freezing cold baby found in morgue freezer drawer 12 hours after being pronounced dead. Credit: dailymail.uk

At 26 weeks pregnant, Analia Bouter gave birth to her fifth child prematurely in Resistencia, Argentina. After being told that the child had no vital signs the medical staff sent her home with a death certificate. Her fate soon changed when she decided to confirm the news herself (mother's intuition?)

12 hours later Analia and her husband decided to go and take a picture of the dead child for memory's sake. To their surprise their tiny daughter was ALIVE in the morgues refrigerated drawer!  Can you imagine the happiness this couple is feeling?

‘I don't know who is to blame, and I'm not thinking about it at this moment. The joy of knowing she's alive is covering every other feeling. I'm a Christian, and I believe this was a miracle of God.’ The baby's mother said.

Are hospitals too quick to 'pull the plug' and rush people through the natural process of healing both mentally and physically? Some people on the internet are saying that 'cooling' is now universally seen as the standard care for infants who suffer from a lack of oxygen. In tern, making the child breathe life for up to 3-4 days later. Hummm.....but why in a morgue?

‘My baby was born at 10.24am and at 11.05am was already in the drawer. She spent 12 hours in the freezing cold of that morgue. I saw for myself the ice on her body.’ Analia has said.

Today, we discovered that a 10 year old girl in Colombia has given birth to a 5 lb little girl. 10 YEARS OLD!!! Can you believe it? I mean, she is so young, will she be able to care for this child to her best ability? Is she ready to grow up? So many questions crossed my mind as I realized that this may actually be 'normal' in some tribes and in some states....but not my own!

"No 10 year-old anywhere in the world should be having a baby," Lewis Wall, a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, told LiveScience.

Couldn't agree with this statement more! Shocked with this revelation, I decided to research this topic. After some research I found that this young girl is in fact NOT the youngest to give birth! Turns out the youngest girl to give birth ever was actually 5 years old!!

Her name was Lina Medina, a Peruvian girl from the Andean village of Ticrapo… Lina’s parents initially thought their daughter had a large abdominal tumor… but Lina was eventually transferred to a hospital in Lima, where she delivered a six-pound baby boy by Cesarean section on 14 May 1939. Lina’s father was temporarily jailed on suspicion of incest, but he was released for a lack of evidence and authorities were never ableto determine who fathered Lina’s child.
